Welcome to Alberta's Environment Conference 2008

The Government of Alberta, in partnership with the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, is pleased to announce Alberta’s Environment Conference 2008, an event focused on environmental and natural resource management issues.

The conference takes place April 21-23, 2008, at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, and will attract delegates from government, municipalities, industry, agriculture, non-government environmental organizations, Aboriginal groups, and academic institutions.

Stewardship: Every Action Counts

This year’s theme, “Stewardship: Every Action Counts,” outlines key strategies, programs, policies and initiatives that will help sustain a clean and healthy environment for Albertans today and into the future. The information shared at Alberta’s Environment Conference 2008 will engage and equip Albertans to become active stewards of the environment. Program streams will include air and climate change, land and biodiversity, water, collaborative initiatives, and natural resource management.

Additional information about speakers, registration and session topics will be updated regularly - please check back to this website frequently.
